NeighborGood Partners traveled to Washington, DC on March 18 to meet with staff from the office of Sarah McBride and discuss the importance of the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund.
As a Delaware-based CDFI, our Loan Fund plays a key role in expanding access to affordable housing, supporting small businesses, and helping families build financial stability. During the meeting, our team shared how continued and timely federal funding is essential to keeping that momentum going here at home.
“As a CDFI rooted in Delaware communities, we see every day how CDFI Fund resources translate into real economic impact,” said Sterling Doughty, Loan Fund Associate at NeighborGood Partners. “These investments help launch new businesses, preserve affordable housing, and support families working to build financial stability.”
We also highlighted how these federal investments help leverage additional private funding to strengthen local economies across Delaware.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our work and advocate for resources that directly impact the communities we serve.
