NeighborGood Partners is proud to announce that it has officially been certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's CDFI Fund.
CDFI Certification is awarded to mission-driven financial institutions that are dedicated to expanding economic opportunity in underserved communities through responsible lending and community investment. The certification recognizes organizations that provide financial products and services to individuals, businesses, and communities that may have limited access to traditional financing.
"This certification is an important milestone for NeighborGood Partners," said Karen Speakman, CEO of NeighborGood Partners. "It reflects our long-standing commitment to creating opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, and neighborhoods across Delaware. We believe that access to capital can be life changing, and this designation strengthens our ability to continue investing in the communities we serve."
NeighborGood Partners' Loan Fund has helped finance affordable housing developments, support small businesses, and provide lending solutions that strengthen communities throughout Delaware. As a certified CDFI, the organization joins a national network of mission-driven lenders working to expand access to responsible financing and promote economic growth in communities that have historically faced barriers to investment.
"This certification recognizes the work our Loan Fund team has been doing for years," said Dave Callahan, Vice President of the NeighborGood Partners Loan Fund. "We're honored to receive this designation and look forward to continuing to provide financing that helps create housing opportunities, support local businesses, and strengthen Delaware communities."
CDFIs play an important role in addressing financing gaps by providing flexible lending solutions that support affordable housing, community facilities, commercial development, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.
NeighborGood Partners remains committed to helping communities thrive by expanding access to capital, fostering economic opportunity, and creating lasting community impact.
