About the Position:
​The Loan Fund Servicer (LFS) is a member of a close-working team of professionals and is responsible for the daily operations of servicing NeighborGood Partner’s loan portfolio. The LFS will monitor the performance of loans and provide excellent customer service to borrowers and other partners. The LFS will oversee all aspects of loan servicing, including preparing portfolio reports, payment invoicing, loan document preparation, maintaining loan files, and funding draw disbursements.
This position is full-time and offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Immediate Supervisor: Lending Manager

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
​

Duties and Responsibilities:
​

Oversee the daily administration and servicing of the loan portfolio
-
Provide excellent customer service
-
Prepare various portfolio-related reports (typically monthly/quarterly) for use by the Loan Fund Team, Loan Committee, and the NeighborGood Partners Board.

Prepare approved loans for closing, including preparation of commitment letter and loan documents, assisting Loan Officer with collecting outstanding documents, and coordinating the closing with borrower and settlement attorney; prepare documentation for modifications to existing loans as necessary

Enter new loans into the portfolio servicing software and collect all post-closing documentation

Maintain borrower loan files (both paper and electronic) as needed, including updating insurance certificates, UCC extensions, and other time sensitive documents

Prepare and distribute monthly loan payment invoices for borrowers then receive and apply payments; coordinate late payment collection strategy with Loan Officers

Process borrower requests for constructions draws and coordinate appropriate draw inspections and approvals

Coordinate the monthly Loan Committee meetings; distribute credit packages and various Loan Fund reports to committee members; record the minutes of the meeting

Proactively recommend efficient and effective workflow and quality control improvements

Empathy and understanding for the low-income people and communities served by NeighborGood Partners and the Loan Fund

Minimum three years of work-related experience in loan servicing, loan portfolio management, or related experience and skills, preferably in a commercial bank or commercial finance environment.

Proven written and verbal communication and networking skills; interacts well with the public, media, stakeholders, staff, and volunteers

Excellent interpersonal and professional skills in handling challenges and job performance

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet applications

General understanding of accounting principles, business math, interest rate applications, and lending/loan terminology.
